Start by cutting off the last 1-2 inches of the asparagus stalk. Then cut each stalk in half.
Add the asparagus halves into a large mixing bowl with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Use tongs to mix together until the asparagus is evenly coated.
Then, line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the asparagus halves on the baking sheet with a little space between each stalk. Bake at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes.
Finally, remove from the oven and serve hot!

Expert Tips
The easiest way to evenly coat the asparagus in seasoning is by using tongs.
For best results, do not over bake or they will become tough.
Try to pick out thicker stalks of asparagus for this recipe. I find they come out better when you bake them. Skinnier stalks can get a little dry and stringy very easily in the oven.
Use a large baking sheet when making this recipe to ensure that you can spread out a single layer of the asparagus.
