Healthy Halloween Dirt Cups are a rich and decadent chocolate treat made with wholesome ingredients. Each cup is layered with fudgy gluten-free brownies, vegan chocolate pudding, and healthier gummy worms made with simple ingredients.
Start by adding a brownie into each glass cup or jar. You can press it in or break it into smaller pieces.
Next, add a large scoop of chocolate mousse into each jar on top of the brownie.
Then add in broken up brownie pieces and brownie crumbs to create the "dirt" look on top of the pudding. Finish off with pressing in 3-4 gummy worms per cup.
Notes
**Note that nutrition facts will vary depending on what type of recipes that you use. This calculation is based on generic chocolate pudding, brownie mix, and gummy worms. I used my own recipes to make this dessert much healthier!
Expert Tips
If you add chocolate cookie crumbs on top, use a food processor to create fine crumbs or add them into a plastic bag and use a rolling pin and break into crumbs.
Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting & layering.
Feel free to get creative when making the layers! Try adding chocolate mousse to the bottom of the cup instead of the brownies. Top with a layer of brownie pieces, more chocolate mousse, and cookie crumbs.
Make the brownies and chocolate mousse or chocolate pudding the day before to save time!
Gummy worms can get very tough when chilled in the refrigerator, so I recommend leaving them off of the cups until you're ready to serve.
How To Store Leftovers
Leftover Halloween Dirt Pudding Cups should be stored in the refrigerator. Cover each cup with a reusable wrap or plastic wrap. (I do not recommend freezing.)If you have leftover chocolate pudding, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.** See full post for more information and helpful tips!
